Horrible communication
Poor Customer Service / Communication
CDC resurfaced our pool 4 years ago and did a nice job. I need some additional work done and contacted the office - was told someone would call me.
Waited a few days - no call. I called back and was told the sales person doesn't always listen to his voicemail and could "I" email him. They actually wanted me to email their sales person to come to my home, for a sales call. As a prior cash paying customer I though this was incredibly unprofessional.
I indicated that I did not want to email any one and please have the sales person contact me. I even apologized saying I did not mean to be rude, but felt I should not have to write an email. The person on the other end of the phone actually said, "yes, you sound rude". Wow.
Not certain what is going on at CDC, but I know two things - 1) they need a better sales person- one who listens to voicemails and returns calls and 2) they need to train their receptionist in customer service. At his point I may need to find another pool company,
- Customer service and sales
Preferred solution: Return my call and apologize for a rude receptionist.
Disappointed with no call backs

I hired CDC pools to replaster & repair the decking on my pool. They mismanaged the job from the begining and were rude beyond my expectations.
When I tried to resolve this matter they hired a lawyer named Richardson who began to threaten me with lawsuits and such. As an Arizona consumer, I enlisted the aid of THE ROC only to be stood up by all of them on the day of inspection. Having lost hope of working this out tHrough the ROC, I withdrew my complaint because CDC Pools and their lawyer said it was the only way to settle this. I did what they asked and took them up on an offer to give me some of my money back and guess what I got as a response?
More threats, accusations and belitlement from their lawyer. I MUST WARN ALL ARZONA CUNSUMERS TO BEWARE OF HIRING CDC POOLS, INC. Also, if others have suffered this sort of treatment please post it on the internet.
I beleive it is still a country where freedom of speech is allowed and where corporations and licensed contractors are still held responsible for their unethical behavior and callous way of treatment customers. AGAIN, I CAUTION ALL ARIZONANS NOT TO HIRE CDC POOLS, INC.

i HAD MY POOL RESURFACED AND NEW FILTER, PUMP, THE WORKS. IT LOOKS LIKE A *** JOB. THERE ARE SEVERAL BIG BLACK SPOTS WHERE THEY MADE MISTAKES. THE WEB SITE PROMISED THE WORK WOULD BE DONE BY EMPLOYEES. NOT SO, EVERYBODY WAS CONTRACTED OUT. AFTER THEY FINISHED THE WORK, I WAS SHOCKED BY SOME LIVE WIRES THEY LEFT HANGING OUT. WHEN I CALLED THE OFFICE THEY SAID THEY DON'T DO ELECTRICAL WORK. WELL THEN, WHO INSTALLED THE POOL EQUIPMENT? tHE SUPER CAME OUT AND FIXED IT BUT WHEN I TRIED TO CALL HIM BACK HE'S NO LONGER WITH THE COMPANY. cAN'T SAY i BLAME HIM. aFTER THAT, I COME TO FIND OUT THEY OVER-CHARGED ME FOR THE JOB. sIGN ME, NOT HAPPY

I would not recommend CDC for a pool remodel. Their sub-contractors do a good job for the most part, but the project foreman from CDC (Dion) is a disgrace. Poor communication, no follow up with concerns about work and specifics about the work mentioned. I had to remind him 3 times to perform work I had agreement on with the salesman. Dion shows up to the job site unprepared and has no clue as to what dates work is going to happen. He has to "call in" to the office. He'll get the dates, but when a foreman is knowingly meeting a customer, I would expect him to have a clipboard with all the jobsite information. After the job was finished they went to start up my pool and the sheer descent didn't work (conversion from a different type of water feature) and he said he'd be happy to replace my pump for $800.00. I about fell off my chair. They also wanted $550.00 to regrout my in ground spa. I have a tile guy who did it for $250.00. I priced the same pump out for ~$300.00 they wanted to charge me $800.00 for (includes installation). Their overall pool remodel price was not the best (actually it was the highest of all the bids) but what won the job for them is they kept calling to see if I had decided on a contractor. Their only saving grace is the other contractors never called back after bidding the job. If you do go with CDC, do NOT let them put Dion on your project. The pool finishers and the tile guys did a good job with minimal call-backs to take care of work. Minor things which were not that big of a deal, but I am pretty particular about things and the "fit and finish" at the end of the project. Also, if you do use them for a remodel, do NOT buy ANY equipment from them. They markup the prices rediculously. The salesman Jack is nice, but is not involved once he sells you the pool, and is reluctant to become involved when there is a problem. The workers just come and go with the project and no real information regarding what happens during the project is communicated, how it proceeds and no closing meeting with "is everything OK with your pool?" They just pick up their sign and disapear at the end. They do call the day before and let you know they are coming to do work, but you are basically in the dark about everything else. You'll go a week and not hear a word about what is going on, or what is happening. It is something you the consumer have to chase down instead of them offering the information and coming to you.

CDC IS A MESS. They appear to be professional. The only thing they are concerned with is getting more work but not taking care of old work. Ive had my pebble tec for only 4years and when I call them they do not return phone calls and when you get them on the phone they have no clue about what is going on. they pass the buck to everyone under the sun. They refer everything to Ron (In my area) and he says anything to get rid of you. This real.. chunks of my pool were coming up and they blamed it on every other sub except themselves. I had to literally prove it to them that it was their work that was flawed. I had to go in person to get attention and I sat in the Lobby 30 minutes while they walked around talking and looking for someone to ask questions. They put us on a future schedule that was so far out I could've done the work myself. Their so called pro rated warranty seemed so high that It cost as much as my original pool and their so called discount was low. It seemed padded so I got another estimate from other pool companies and they told me things that i suspected. Their prices were better-- CDC HAS A GREAT WEBSITE GOOD IMAGE APPEARANCE MAY EVEN APPEAR KNOWLEDGEABLE****BUT IN THE END IT IS THE PRODUCT AND DURABILITY THEY KNOW THAT THIS HAPPENS AND THEY DO LITTLE TO SOLVE IT THE GIRLS GIVE A PROFESSIONAL RUN A ROUND JOB. CLUELESS HOW CAN I GIVE "NO STARS"

I used cdc pools for a new pool interior. The bid was competitive. The people seemed nice. Getting them there once they had my deposit was a task. The final stage of acid wash is where it went wrong. The workers were pouring the acid on with a bucket, not sprayers as I have seen previous companies do. the process left a wide range of streaked color on the surface. also so much of the "cream" was etched away that portions of the pool are very rough in contrast to the rest. also have a 2 by 3 inch chunk missing out of the bottom. No response back from cdc when contacted regarding these issues. would not use them nor recommend them.

why would pay any contractor in full -- that was your mistake -- The rule is 50% down 50% upon completion . This does not sound right ---
